The mere existence of Innards Out psyches out attackers for a few turns, while they try to figure out whether it's a land mine or not. In the meantime you can soak or toxic or z-purify or whatever the fuck.

Comfey with Triage is infinitely better than Natural Cure. It picks off weakened sweepers with +3 priority Draining Kiss and OHKOs Pheramosa. It's also fast enough to run Taunt and U-Turn to avoid ever getting status by stallmons

Dazzling is decent against Honchrow and Talonflame but it's terrible against Bisharp and other Priority moves that resist like Scizor's bullet punch and Azumarill's aqua jet. Lele's psychic terrain is a far better option for anti-priority in both formats. Strong Jaw gives you more power while making your coverage moves a lot more usable.

Merciless is gimmicky and honestly quite pointless on a mon that's made to be a pivot/wall.

Unaware punishes Sweepers like Zard X, and the like by using soak to make their stabs moves hilariously weak. Innards Out sacrifices your Pyukumuku while stopping their sweep if they have lower HP than it.

NOTHING is scared of Gumshoos' 110 atk. Adaptability and Strong Jaw at least provide him Massive Power or Power w/coverage.
