I was actually thinking of items that grant Pokemon a second typing. However, the item would only last for like 5 turns.

>Black Belt - Fighting
>Silk Scarf - Normal
>Black Glasses - Dark
>Hard Stone - Rock
>Magnet - Electric
etc.
They'd keep their original effects, but gain this second type feature on single typed mons.
