Talk to people at Aether Paradise, and read the research data on Nihilego. Lusamine's a good girl. That's why when they knocked the shit out of her, she finally realizes that Lillie's beautiful. It's not a tacked on line to give the story a satisfying end for no reason, it's because she's coming back to her senses after so long.

I don't think it runs that deeply, I think it's just that her current focus in life (the UBs) has been magnified greatly by Nihilego. Not that the other stuff in her life never mattered to her, but Nihilego was causing her to push everything that didn't directly aid her in her endeavors aside.
