What does /vp/ think of Mega Charizard Y and X? Is X truly superior

They're both fantastic. X is best setup sweeper and Y is best nuke.

I prefer Y's design. I'm sorry, but X just looks goofy to me.

X is Dragon-type, Y isn't. Both are cool but we have a clear winner here inb4muhedgygenwunnerpandering

I've always like Y's design and playstyle better, it seems more like a natural extension of the line, and super high power nukes are the most fun.

X grew on me because of the Kalos League though, and being a physical sweeper immune to WoW is pretty cool.

Then there's the whole argument that Mega Charizard X follows the trend of anime Charizard and the early builds of Charizard in the competitive scenes -- which are pretty mixed in terms of physical and special attacks. Charizard is all up in your face, whereas Mega Charizard Y just spams Fire Blasts from the sky high.

Appearance-wise, definitely but in terms of portrayal not? Personally I love Mega Charizard Y more in terms of design and playstyle, but people have brought understandable points that X makes better use of what Charizard is known for and capable of.

I was actually rooting for Ash, but the frog choking was so unexpected and the backlash on /vp/ so hilarious I couldn't be mad at /ourboy/ Lizardon.
