Eeeuuugh, S&M has the most boring champ music of any Pokemon game.

It wasn't tense, upbeat, fun, whimsical, hectic, or anything along those lines like all past titles.

That was just a heroic remix of the title theme. If anything, it would've worked more as victory song than the song that plays during the battle to end all battles. It was so boring. Totally killed the adrenaline that the E4 gave me.

they're all good tracks, no question, the only problem is none of them are MEMORABLE tracks. Gen 1 had kind of shit music, but at least they were catchy. Route 1, pallet town, pokemon center, lavender town, cinnebar mansion, and final rival battle are all the types of tunes that if you hear you would immediately recognize and could whistle along.

all the music past gen 3 are the same boring techno songs that only serve as background noise. The only one that's even kind of memorable is the Team Skull Grunt battle and that's only because it's one of the few songs that actually has words (that's kind of cheating)

I mean, it's not awful, and I nostalgia to it somewhat, but just in hindsight, when in comparison to all the other wild battle themes from every other game.

Of all 7 generations it's probably my least favorite wild pokemon theme. Seriously listening to it, it just sounds so bland and uninteresting.
