i wasn't here for XY hype, i skipped gens V and VI, came back in SM leak season. The problem with goodra seems to be sky-high expectations, the dripping goo from its arms is a little offputting but overall i like the design and the fact that we have a pure dragon pseudo line

yep. was actually convinced sliggoo was a two staged line like shellos and didn't evolve any further. sliggoo and goomy are my absolute favorite pokemon. that actually would have been for the better. goodra isn't the worst design, but it is shit imo. it's literal fetish bait, and it's more overrated than charizard. people try to say goodra is good competitively, but that just isn't true. sliggoo and goomy, they are so interesting, and then fetish bait goodra comes along and i just felt disappointed and ashamed.
