I have a 5 star Rare Kitchen in my Festival Plaza. Is there an easy way to share this with people or do I have to be friends with someone for me to appear in their plaza and offer it to them?

Have it set as the first place in your plaza and yes add people as friends and if you'd like I'd love to add you.

You mean sharing it with specific people without registering them as friends? You can trade with them through GTS. That'll make you show up in their VIP room until they trade again.
