Whiscash needs buffed.
Clearly if gamefreak knew what catfish were actually like they would know this.
Catfish are sometimes even known as inland sharks for their predatory methods.
To buff Whiscash its stats need to raise, its attack should be raised from 78 to 92 its speed should be buffed from 60 to 87 but its health should be dropped from 110 to 90
Its variety of special moves are useless, so a decrease from 76 to 60 couldn't hurt also a good physical water type move for stab, like liquidation or even aqua jet, as for type coverage and set up moves nothing should change, dragon dance and rain dance combo with aqua jet and earthquake could work, as well as replacing earthquake for zen headbutt or rock slide for type coverage, a different ability would also help, maybe filter, because most catfish in real life can live in almost every habitat and filter the harsh waters through their gills, it also makes grass type moves 25% less effective on it, which isn't much considering that it has a 4x weakness to grass, maybe an ability that makes grass type moves less affective, like heatproof but for grass types. Call it algae eater or something and make it halve damage done by grass types, so it's still super effective but only 2x, you could even give it to other water/ground types too, like gastrodon or quagsire. A physical ice, flying, or bug move to cover grass types would be another solution to this problem instead of an ability, lunge could work, u-turn would be amazingly over powered, so it would probably not be best to give it that, ice fang while possible is not very likely, and the only flying type move I can think of is aerial ace.
