Im back into playing pokemon for the first time in 3 generations and I'm Nuzlocking SUMO.

What is with the algorithm and giving you double the exp if you are fighting the evolution of something? I dont remember this in previous games. Pic related. That bitch is worth 480~ exp the first time he shows up in the wild.

No, Pokémon higher level than yours give increased EXP those lower give less EXP, just like in Gen 5.

I just got 138 exp from a level 18 pikipek and 480 from a lvl 17 trumbeak. It HAS to have something to do with thr evolutions.

Pokemon give different EXP in their evolution chain. It was always like this. It looks like Trumbeak gives a lot more than Pikipek.
