Salazzle is faster, but is a special attacker. Gardevoir has much higher special attack and sp. def.

Salazzle's best poison attack is Venom Shock, which is 65 base while Gardevoir has access to Psychic, Recover and a myriad of status abilities

Basically, Salazzle will always outspeed Gardevoir, but in cases where both are scarfed Salazzle will usually but not always OHKO Gardevoir. Meanwhile Gardevoir can OHKO every time without even needing to go Mega, with addition of the Mega dropping Salazzle's chance of a one shot to 6%. Long story short:

>Both Scarf, Salazzle wins 87% of the time
>Specs Salazzle/Mega Gardevoir, Salazzle always wins
