It's not trying to become an esport. It's impossible to make a competitive game with almost a thousand characters balanced.

It's trying to be relatively competitive so kids and manchildren can go to tournaments, pay for their own flight and hotel, fight it out until one manchild becomes the biggest manchild, and then try really hard to make the headlines on Kotaku when they have a champion.

You can play the game competitively if you want. It's pretty fun after all. It will never be esports, though.

Injecting vgc competitive pkm should be seen more like steroids in the IPF or the Olympics; everybody knows you're pinning your ass, but if you get caught, you get banned for life.

I thought Verlis was about competitive battle but no cheating?
