Would Sinnoh be better if they introduced more regional pokemons

the cross gen evos really made it bring something unique to the table regardless of how well it was received, i honestly hope a remake brings more cross evos to the table as to it not feel blatant and empty as oras did. oras was a gen 6 expansion not a propper gen 3 upgrade

It could work if done for any mons introduced after gen 4. I'd rather they not do it for any pre-gen 4 mons though, we don't need even more retcon bullshit.

If by regional Pokémon you mean something similar to Alolan forms, taking previous generations Pokémon and giving them new Sinnoh forms, not quite, but something similar.
What I think they should've done is expand on Gastrodon's gimmick and give it to other Pokémon introduced in that generation, giving them Western and Eastern forms depending on which side of Mt. Coronet you encounter them. Preferably with different typings. Think things like Poison/Fighting Western Croagunk and Poison/Fire Eastern Croagunk, that kind of thing. So in a way, similar to Alolan forms, but within the same region. Would've been a good way to pad out the dex without actually adding more new Pokémon, but also without falling back too much on old ones.

I like this idea.

the problem is that I don't really like hardly any Sinnoh Pokemon, so just giving them alternate forms wouldn't help that much.

They should add more new pokémon to the region.

I wouldnt mind regional variants of old pokemon within the region or adding gen 5-7 regional variants too
