I love the new and improved P-Z, but Z-Conversion Porygon-Z is more a sweeper/cleaner than the wallbreaker it would be in most of its older sets.

Unless you pack Nasty Plot it's still going to get walled by sponges that already managed to get a Calm Mind in like Clefable and Mega Sableye, and if the former has Unaware you're not even getting past that with NP. Premier Sponges Blissey and Chansey are comfortably going to take +1 Adaptability Thunderbolts too.

That being said, for Chansey/Blissey specifically you can still run Psyshock. Still not getting past Unaware Clefable though.

z-convert fixes up its poor speed and makes it only a little less bulky than porygon2, in addition to giving you stab on your first slot move, so you could run adaptability tbolt/ice beam/psyshock instead of tri attack

I've also seen people use it for blizzard spam in doubles with alolan ninetales

And that's assuming the porygon z user is stupid enough to use z-conversion in front of a full health toxapex. If toxapex can even survive one turn, the best thing it can do is actually use toxic.

The idea of being able to fire TWO adaptability hyper beams in sucession is amusing, but the extra defenses and speed from Z-Conversion are too good to pass up. You could leave it normal type and go with tri-beam, shadow ball, and nasty plot, but you'd need to baton pass a speed boost for it do some work.

You don't need to pass up Conversion on the set to use Hyper Beam.

The idea is having both Conversion and Hyper Beam, opting to use the Z-stone in two very different situations. It just gives flexibility and unpredictability really.
I use Conversion most of the time, but Z-Hyper Beam can take out almost anything, it's a fucking nuke almost on the same level as Galvanize Golem's Explosion, with the difference that my Porygon can still live and fire another Hyper Beam straight after.
