Actually a bit of a shame, since the actual game (match-three with Pokémon) is good. It's just that it's so buried in microtransactions that the game becomes significantly less enjoyable because of it.

Any other choice is wrong. Pokemon Dash makes me upset because it is shitty in every single way. Let me break it down for you:

- Shitty gameplay (take Pikachu from point A to point B without getting carpal tunnel)
- Adding on to carpal tunnel, the game requires you to furiously masturbate your DS's touch screen so good luck playing it without looking like a retard.
- "Racing" game that only lets you play as Pikachu in the main game. They could have made Torchic, Teddiursa, Bulbasaur, Munchlax, Meowth, Pichu, Mudkip, Wynaut, Torchic, Charmander, Jigglypuff, Treecko, Marill, Blaziken, Mightyena, and Aipom playable characters but they didn't. That's a roster of 17 characters you could be playing and they limit you to 1 because fuck you, love Pikachu. The only way to play as these other characters is to hate your friend enough to convince him/her to buy this game.
- "420 racing tracks" and they're all shit. You have the 20 tracks that were handcrafted by the developers (still shitty) and then 400 absolute garbage maps that are generated by taking a Pokemon's sprite and assigning squares of terrain to each pixel. These shitty maps are the coolest feature of the game. They also require you to own RSE/FRLG. It's a $40 paywall to access over half of the "games" content.
- Music is bad.
- Graphics are bad. I hope you like pre-rendered shitty 3D.
- Last but not least, this game was sold as a full-priced DS game. The Pokemon Company decided to push this shovelware tech demo shit on consumers and believed it was worth the same amount of money as a full-featured Pokemon game because it had the Pokemon branding.
