That and chaining a high level wild pokemon are probably the only options. I think a lot of people like Bewear because they give good exp and probably can't hit ghosts (don't quote me on that).

Also helps to rank up affection so what you're leveling gets bonus exp, and equipping the lead with a lucky egg gives everyone else normal exp instead of half through exp share. Equipping a lucky egg on them as well should then give everyone double.
