because priority moves are stupid, and gamefreak threw a bunch at people because scizor having priority bullet punch was a problem, then it made it so EVERY type had to have a priority move, normal, fighting, dark, steel, ice,one rock move, water
all in an attempt to make shit mons niche but in the end made good mons 10x better by abusing them. The peak was this shit bird, a braindead move with a bs ability, having VERY little solid counterplay minus stealth rocks and a solid wall, and they allowed it to pack uturn and roost, making it one of the most cowardly "brave bird" of them all. so i am glad it is shit, it deserves to be shit for all the things it was allowed to do for no drawback

I had a talonflame in a nuzlocke once lasted me the whole game and was amazing all the way through, either you're underleveled or your talonflame just has a terrible nature and ivs
