How big is this bug height wise? Pokedex says 8 feet. What's

My guess is that Scolipede is 8 feet long. It probably stands roughly 3-4 feet tall. Which is uh... big.

Possibly, snake and worm-like Pokemon are measured lengthwise generally, not from head to toe, which is what OP was asking.

I know the wingspan meme has been proven false, and it's indeed height for quadrupeds and insectoids, but I'm pretty sure serpentine mons are measured lengthwise. It then remains whether this would be measured as a bug or a serpent.

Never mind, got it.

Scolipede in the pokedex is a head taller than the trainer. Including the horns, it's about a head and a half, two heads.
If the trainer is five feet or so, scolipede stands at about 6 feet high. This makes 8 feet a length measurement.
