Before knowing about natures:
>I catch pokémon I like and play the game normally
After knowing about natures:
>I spend hours catching the same fucking pokémon just so it has the best nature
How do I cure this autism?
Suicide
>How do I cure this autism?
By not being a fucking retard and making use of synchronize

I'm playing emerald, Abra appears way too late and Ralts has a 4% encounter rate with another 50% chance of even having synchronize
>>30696929
Are you going to be battling anyone else with your Emerald Pokemon?
>>30696963
So it doesn't fucking matter, just play the game normally, the 0.9x/1.1x isn't going to make a difference thanks to the game's braindead AI
>>30696824
just get a good enough nature
>>30696972
you're technically right but I still can't help getting triggered by having a modest Poochyena for example
>>30696824
I feel you OP.
>>30696999
I understand.
But for in-game mons I try to abide by the rule: as long as the nature isn't detrimental, roll with it.
So yeah, grab a different pooch. But as long as the boosted stat isn't useless for that Pokemon and the lowered stat isn't the most crucial, it'll be fine.
I actually love neutral natures on in-game mons.

Very accurate description of myself. Worst part? I don't even play competitively.
>>30696824
stop the autism with another form of autism: force yourself to stick with whatever pokemon you catch
come up with personalities for them based on their nature and characteristic, and make up your own story as you go along
>>30697378
Not OP, but thats a good idea. I'll try that next time.
>Worrying about this shit in game.
It's only worth bothering if you roll a nature that outright hinders a key stat.
