What do you prefer /vp/? Breeding or bottle caps? How do you

I'd certainly prefer bottle caps if they were more easily accessible, but since they're not, breeding.

No. We have no idea how bottle caps will work next gen if something happens. Would there still be hyper training? Would the stats go away if you transferred them to next gen? We have no idea. Breeding is more reliable, but bottlecaps are easier to use, but hard to get.

training is only really feasible for legendaries, gift pokemon- basically anything that you only really have one shot at getting, and can't just breed to fix. The fact that you must get a pokemon to level 100 is a huge time consumer, especially in sun and moon where the most powerful enemy pokemon you'll encounter are only in their 60's, maybe 70's.

Caps aren't exactly easily accessable outside of ingame exploits...but they go hand in hand with masuda shinies with that one bad IV that usually happens.

Fuck training to lvl 100 just for Hyper Training
Once you SOS chain to a 4 IV Ditto or two it's much faster to breed

Hyper training is for Legendaries and Shinies that pop up during breeding.

It's easy enough to train a pokemon to lv. 50 for instance, but to get it to lv. 100? Wew, good luck with that, especially knowing that there isn't a spot just good enough to grind a pokemon into such, you just either have to settle with the Elite Four (just like old times, I guess), Morimoto (who you battle only once per day), that one restaurant which is also only once per day and I guess wild lv. 58 pokemon near the Battle Tree entrance.

I'm not sure if there's more I'm missing, but at least that's all I know AFAIK.

I seen some people saying chaining Bewears is pretty efficient. Truth to be said this game could use something like the White TreeHollow, or at least E4 with 6 pokémon in their 70s

Breeding. I even breed a few extra 5IVs to hand out to /vp/ once I get my perfect one. The rest of the rejects (5IVs but in the wrong place, 4IVs etc.) I dump on wonder trade.
