Only 20 boxes? That's 600 eggs. With the shiny charm plus Masuda, your odds are still a bit worse than 1/500. You're still well within the expected range of not having a shiny. Maybe after another 20 boxes, you can claim to have bad luck.

You just have shit luck, yesterday I hatched a shiny Salandit in less than 15 eggs and today it took me almost three boxes before I got my shiny mimikyu, the rates are much higher than previous games but patience is still needed

if masuda is 6/4096, and shiny charm doubles it to 12/4096, the chances are 1/341, and

1 - (340/341)^600 = 1 - 0.172 = .828

so unless i'm doing the math wrong he should have an 80% chance of hatching a shiny within those boxes. It's just high enough to be able to get pissy about, like missing an important Stone Edge.

(even if it's only 6/4096, he's still at ~60% shiny chance)

They don't stack and neither do the two similar abilities that reduce egg hatch times. The only thing you can do is have one pokemon with flame body, and try not to let too many hatch at once.

Masuda method adds 5 more chances to the odds like you put there, but shiny charm doesn't double the chances, it just adds 2. The odds with shiny charm and Masuda is 8/4096 or 1/512.
