I've been thinking that Sun and Moon sequels would have an "Industrialism vs Nature" theme, and that those games would have an industrial evil team that uses Electric and Steel types. And also the team would have an influence before the events of the sequel that results in Alola losing some of the beauty it had in SM1.

More like loopng back to gen 1 and fully exploring the concept of Traditionalism and Urbanization. Gyms and the League act as ritual battle grounds for the Tapus, sure it works the same as trials, but the consumerism and people that will swarm the islands due to it is going to make the Tapus go fucking AWOL and beat some fools over the head. So I can see them estqblishing the gyms in Alola and then at the end shutting them down because the Tapus and Necrozma say so, and not to mention Totem Pokemon and the Ultra Beasts need a natural way to be controlled and dealt with much like the trials. Lastly, Alola with gyms will be freaking insane in all honesty, expanding the cities and having all those trial sites as dungeons and post league content is salivating, and if they somehow manage to ass pull a 5 island the size of akala out of nowhere, it can easily raise the content bar.
But yeah, urbanization and traditionalism is the way to go. I really want thek to explore the Tapus are the real rulers of the region angle, no other region has a lrgendary quartet that dictates how fast expansion can or cannot happen, its a perfect conflict setup.
