While the gen 3, 4 and 5 events were fun, I'm not a fan of event-locked content and prefer the higher amount of legendaries to catch in SM's main story.

Try using False Swipe or some kind of sleep inducing move. It's not very hard to catch, I think I got it in maybe ten turns with an ultra ball.
