save before u fight it, lower it's hp to 1 using false swipe, give it paralysis. if moon ball fails restart and try again.

Lunala has a catch rate of 45, this really shouldn't be difficult. You probably have a 10% chance of catching it if you don't even weaken it. If you get it to 1HP and put it to sleep you've got an over 50% chance of catching it.

Just have a mon that can hit it hard enough to get Lunala under 50% health in one or two hits (remember the first hit does half-damage), and throw the ball. Don't bother paralyzing or 1-HP-ing as it takes too long.

She has an enourmous catch rate (just like every box-art-legendary seem to have now), and this shouldn't take very long. Got mine after five or six tries.
