so is hyper training or breeding quicker for getting 5 IV poke's?

Hyper Training only sets flags that makes game treat Pokemon as if it had 31 IV in that stat. It actually doesn't for the purpose of Hidden Power or breeding.

yea i know that part, i'm just wondering what's faster if i just want a 5 IV pokemon, not worried about breeding breeding more of the same mon once i have a 5 IV

Breeding is significantly easier. The main purpose if hyper training is fixing up ingame bros and wild shinies to a useable state

Breeding is much, much quicker. With a 6 IV Ditto and the right setup it takes you minutes.

ah, i see. i caught a shiny pelipper the other day so i will use hyper training on him and just breed the rest

I'm breeding all mine. I don't trust Gamefreak to keep this feature in future games.
