Does the 2DS actually have worse hardware specs? I'm going out tonight to grab a New 3DS XL, but I don't want to waste my money if it's going to do this on that one too. Anyone else have this problem on the newer console?

Yes the new 3ds has better hardware. Though I've never had bloom doom, or any z move, crash my o3ds.

Yeah I'm sure the 2DS is super budgeted. I had my reasons for wanting it before, but this is a bit silly. I may just go with one of the earlier 3DSs since the switch is coming out soon.

If you're planning on getting a switch andstarsI wouldn't bother unless you get a good deal, like those mario new 3ds for $99.
An old 3ds has the same hardware as a 2ds so jumping to an old 3ds isn't going to do much for you.
