Well I put Kiawe and Miina on there cause I'm fairly certain they're the oldest Trial Captains and ergo probably the strongest of the bunch. Plus other than Kiawe I could only think of Guzma or Gladion who could be another male E4 member and Guzma I reckon would be a Kahuna and Gladion's got other shit to do.

Anabel's just there cause I really like her and her design a lot and that's about it.

With THAT context I like Kiawe now.

I maintain the Island Challenge as an Alolan tradition for new trainers, while making a standard Pokemon League with 8 Gyms and the E4 for skilled trainers the world over. Also, annual matches between the Kahunas and the E4.

Kiawe is made a Gym Leader, since he's almost too old to be a Trial Captain and so that he has a job. Hiker David is the new Trial Captain.
Ryuki is a Type Specialist, so he can be a Gym Leader too.
Acerola is back to being a Trial Captain since she's still young. Molayne becomes a member of the Elite Four.
Guzma and Plumeria become Gym Leaders.
Hau becomes Kahuna since hala is in the Elite Four.
Olivia is out of the E4 so she can focus on being a Kahuna.
Gladion is a member of the E4, using Normal Types.
Kahili is a Gym Leader, while Kukui joins the Elite Four.
The Masked Royal is also a Gym Leader, even if it turns out he's actually Molayne and therefore a member of the E4.

Still planning my team, but I finished the teams for my Elite Four. I used Pokemon that can be found in Alola, and all characters have at least 3 Pokemon that were introduced in SM.

Primeape's been swapped for Passimian, Poliwrath's been swapped for Emboar.

Relicanth always died before using its Yawn strategy on me. Now she leads with Probopass, which will use Thunder Wave. Relicanth and Carbink were dropped for Archeops and Minior.

Drifblim subbed for Mimikyu to make sure she doesn't get kidnapped when she sends it out. Plus Mimikyu fits her character.

He challenged me for my title, but I think he'll like this new position. Although Alakazam is strong, I subbed it for Oranguru to have more Alola presence on his team. I was going to give him a Slowking, but making his Slowbro a Mega seemed more fun.
