I think the Kalos League finals overshadowed Iris at least.

I remember having a lot of fun when BW were being revealed. Specifically when Isshu got localized as Unova, the old "diamond dozen" pasta got repurposed and spammed nonstop at anyone who had an isshu with the change.

However, Kalos finals rendered /vp/ unviewable for me for about 3 days post impact. Hat's off to the victory celebration thread that got its asshole nuked from orbit.

Nothing compares to Wottergate.

The board was relatively new at the time too, so it's an old school shitstorm.

I can't express in words how furiously dissapointed everyone was with the shit stains that are the gen 5 starter evos, if you weren't here you can't understand the collective sigh that ensued when we realised they were real.

Especially when Emboar was discovered to be another fire/fighting, people thought it was an actual joke by gamefreak.
