I love the Choice Band Explosion one

Scarf with Double Edge / Explosion / Crunch / Parting Shot. Probably still bad because it's slower than some of the best UU scarfers (Hydreigon, Salamence, Mienshao), but at least it can revenge kill or mentum out of anything unboosted.

I'm running Fairy Silvally with SD/Ice Fang/Thunder Fang/Multi Attack. He takes hits pretty well and has usable speed, though I dislike how he gets outsped by Chomp.
Only running Ice+Thunder fang because Battle Spot banned Parting Shot, but it's served me pretty well. Once Silvally gets an SD, I don't really want to switch him out anyways.

Fairy Silvally is good, but I'm thinking of making mine a Tapu Killer since he already chews up Garchomp with Ice Fang, so I guess I would go with Dark type Silvally, right?

Your best option is to go defensive with Fairy or Steel type

And never EVER use silvally without parting shot, because parting shot is literally the only reason to use silvally.

For the Battle Tree I went with Explosion Normalium-Z since mine had decent physical stats but he gets Boltbeam for a Porygon2 ripoff special setup.

UU being a handicap in a higher tier, no shit, lots of OU pokemon would be a detriment in Uber as well. Not being in the top 10% isn't shit, and UU pokemon only get played in OU if they have a particular niche.
In UU you aren't "most likely going to lose" by playing with pokemon from the tier.
