Then why can't you just breed a mon for the moves you want, max out its level and then hyper train it?

I mean do you really need two mons of the same species?

It's faster to breed for IVs than it is to Hyper Train.

If you want a different moveset without erasing the previous one or want a different nature, ability, ect. then yes you're going to need a second one. If you don't want to breed then you may as well inject because getting the bottle caps and leveling them to 100 is just a waste of time. You don't even need level 100s for battle spot, what were they thinking?
