If you're talking about shit like personality not including the idle and move animations is immediately putting the models at a disadvantage since they're intended to be viewed in motion. The sprites are a snapshot in time, meant to capture everything about the Pokemon in one image, and tend to be mid-attack anyway. The models are meant to be living, breathing creatures.
