Game Freak doesn't believe in patching stuff in. That would imply that they actually give a shit.
Look. Come January, we'll be able to move the unavailable Pokemon from our older games into the new games, but many of them will be without a Mega Stone. Some of them will be completely useless. And you're going to have to deal with and accept that fact. The only way you'll get the Mega Stones is any of these options:
>A: they release event Pokemon that have them held
>B: they do nothing and will just try to remember to include it in the next game
And you know it's option B. Game Freak doesn't give a fuck in the slightest. Why on earth would they allow items to pass through the bank? Why the hell would they patch things? That gives their games staying power, we can't have that. Gotta save that, along with Move Tutors, for the next games. Because they KNOW you'll buy it.
