I have a shiny 6iv Flygon in Sun that I spent a couple days hatching that I want to have a physical fire move. will it be possible to bank it and send it to XY/ORAS come january, or is it just impossible to teach it Fire Punch now?

I don't think it's possible to teach it now, but I won't rule out the possibility of new move tutors in remakes.
Also how many eggs did you hatch before getting a shiny?

You won't be able to send anything from Sun or Moon to any gen 6 game via bank.

according to the bank stuff on the website, you will not be able to send Pokemon backwards
In fact, if you pull the Pokemon out of the Bank and bring them into Sun/Moon, when you re-Bank them they are locked out of XYORAS.
