If you have Pokemon Sun, visit Kiawe's home in Paniola Town at night and he'll tell you about his dream to become a world famous fire dancer and then tell you has a meeting at the Thrifty Megamart

Go there and you witness Kiawe's boss, the former owner of the Thrify Megamart on Ula'Ula that got destroyed by Tapu Bulu, telling him that business has been bad and that he has to lay off Kiawe.

Kiawe battles you, loses, and then goes off to battle in the Battle Tree presumably to make money to continue his dream
