Was it ever explained why Regigigas has a Slow Start exept for 'lol it just awakened'? It makes no sense to make a pokemon so powerful and important lore-wise and make it complete garbage for no reason. Is it not fully awakened? Is it like the perfect dragon when they left it unanswered for no reason?

Probably. Hopefully it's a case like Zygarde, except this Slow Start takes 5 main series games to get rid of.
