Gaia isn't done but looks promising.

Prism is coming out in a couple weeks if you like gen 2 or just want to see crazy shit like abilities and physical/special move split.

I haven't played life and it's not finished but the graphics are pretty.

Brown is the original gen 1 hack but adds loads of stuff.

Blazeblack and Voltwhite don't change the plot but adds and balances all pokemon to the main game.

Hey, not OP but, are there any good rom hacks in .gbc/.gba format? I'm looking at 3ds VC injection. Already have everything from gen 2/3 on my 3ds, but I wanna play something new/fun, and S&M just aren't cutting it... Too much new, too much crap, little to no fun...

Not technically a hack, but I've really bee digging Zeta and Omicron version. They have an interesting story and region, and they contain All the pokemon from the first 6 gens (I think). It's really polished, which is why I like it so much.

My personal favorite has been Fire Red Omega. It's just Fire Red, but with all the pokemon from Gen 1-3 made available in areas where they make sense. The difficulty is cranked up a bit by giving gym leaders a full party of pokemon and upping their level a bit. (For example, Brock has his Vulpix and Golbat and whatnot). Keeps veterens on their toes.

No, I believe they were made with RPG maker, so they aren't ROMS. But it mostly resembles 3rd gen graphics, with patches available to make battles into full 3D and shit. It's pretty neat.

It's a basic difficulty hack with some new content added. If you hate the new stuff too, what do you even want? Also Uranium is decent if you like Fakemon. A bit overhyped, but still enjoyable.
