What I don't get is why some cries like budew's are the same if not louder, which sounds great, but others get fucked like trapinch, who doesn't even sound like he has a cry because it's so fucking quiet and short.

Atrocious. How did they look at any of these cries and decide "Yeah, that sounds better."?

Espeon had a really good cry for something that was made in Gen II. One of my favorite parts of Colosseum was hearing "mmm-kee-boo" fuck me it's really hard to express with type every time I sent it out. But now it sounds like it has a sore throat near the end of it.

God knows. To make matters worse, it just sounds like they muffled them/amplified them to the point where they start to become white noise. Makes all the cries sound very homogenous, I wonder if that's what they wanted.
