So let me get this straight, to capture a Mareanie, you have to get into a battle with a Corsola and then beat the stuffing out of it until it cries out to its friends to come save it. But no, you just tricked it into attracting a Mareanie, which eats Corsolas.
Yeah, that's a thing. Mareanies eat Corsolas. Just chomp their little sticks down to nubs, then dine on them soft-shell style. And to make this all worse? They are the same egg group.

Neat mechanic. I hope they implement more dex entries into the sos system and maybe hordes like the zangoose/ seviper and durant/ heatmor ones.
Sableye and carbink isn't enough. I need more.
