Are there any new Pokemon whose size surprised you?

It's probably with the chain extended.

Anyway, Araquanid being 1.8m is fucking huge, no matter if it is measured by height or length.

Yeah Machamp.
He should be renamed "Manlet."

Kommo-o is a manlet.
Araquanid is large but might just be long not tall.
Nihilego is only ~4ft tall. Considering it asorbed Lusamine, I thought it would be taller.

Celsius is good for science and measuring extremes. Farenheit is good for day-to-day use - below 0 or above 100 is an extreme to us, and the much wider set of degrees between those two temps compared to Celsius' 0-27 is much more useful. For example, 70 and 80 F are very different, but it's easier to express "high 70s" than it is to express "25.5 C."

>>
>>30559593
I'd imagine that only applies to the arms.
>>
>>30561265
Yeah it's good for water. Maybe if we were a bunch of merpeople who lived in water, it would be useful, but unfortunately we are merpeople who live on land and need a system that works better for measuring the temperature of the air around them.
>>
This whole thread has made me realize metric people are autistic about height and imperial people are autistic about temperature`
>>
>>30561265
Why the fuck would we base a system off water's freezing and boiling points? Why not off OUR temperatures? F having humans at almost 100 (98.6) is a much better gauge than random 37.
>>
>>30560942

You're fucking autistic or something, holy shit. Obviously everyday usage seems weird to someone who doesn't use it every day.

>>30561793
Yes because it is so much more common to need to know the temperature of the water inside your body than the air outside it.
>>
>>30561678
Converting Celsius to Kelvin is two operations shorter than converting Farenheit to Kelvin. SO yes it's better when you're actually calculating something.

I would also say it is better in everyday life too.
0C and 100C are much better defined for the average person than 0F which you will almost never have an experience with. .

>maybe in whatever shitty third world country you live
Not in that sense.
In the sense that the definition means shit to your most people.
Everyone know what how cold it is when water freezes, and everyone has a rough idea of how hot boiling water is. Everyone obviously knows how hot the human body is too.
But who the fuck has a feeling of how hot the temperature of a mixture of ice, water, and ammonium chloride is?
>>
>>30562024

>>30561437

Where do you live when it's always approximately 0F when you go out?
I boil water maybe around every third day or so. That's more often than times I go out and when is roughly 0F, which is maybe for one month during the winter. And even then the temperature defiates a whole lot more from 0F than my boiling water does from 100C.

According to Generations, the Kyogre and Groudon forms we knew for 11 years are actually shells they crack open to reveal their true forms.
>>
I won't comment on the height system, but for temperature Fahrenheit is obviously better for everyday usage. Tell me what makes more sense:

A system based on how water feels?
Or a system based on how humans feel?

And because Kelvin is a thing, Celsius isn't even good for scientific measurements. It's just a fucking kitchen temperature system.

The stone formes crack and reveal the regular Groudon and Kyogre in both RS and ORAS, did you not play the games at all? Kyogre and Groudon are explicitly said to require primal energy to stay in their primal reversions, which they either get from holding the red/blue orb(which they never do in the game, only happened in Generations since Archie was poorly written) or touch a energy souce like the one underneath Sootopolis.
>>
Humans are 70% water

The entire fucking planet surface is 70% water

Fahrenheit is a scale specifically to talk about weather. If you're talking about what temperature it is outside, Fahrenheit makes more sense.

Where I live sometimes its below 0F and sometimes its above 100F. I can't imagine talking about the weather in a scale that's only 40 degrees. When you say its gonna be in the 40s today in Fahrenheit, you know its gonna be pretty chilly but not snowy, and 90s is gonna be pretty hot, and 70s is nice weather, and 80s kinda toasty, and 60s is a bit cold but still nice outside.. its all about degree of accuracy.

But again, Fahrenheit is for weather discussion specifically. So of course it makes the most sense for that.
>>
>>30562063

Celsius would still be more accurate.
