Here's the thing about coverage: a super effective shadow ball actually does less than a normal thunderbolt. Unless the opponent resists electric, it's better to just use t-bolt. Ice beam is pretty much just for dragons, ground types, and grass types

That's the thing about HP Ground, there's a lot of Electric types running around thanks to Koko and Xurk, not to mention other Porygon-Z's. Hitting Nihilego and Salazzle for 4x is nice too, and Ground is just generally strong at punishing off-meta memes like Shell Smash Turtonator or Magnezone.
