Back when the demo was the hot new thing, there was some code that involved Pokemon followers, like in HGSS. It involved the Pokemon in your first party, but most people just thought it was leftovers from previous code or something.

Fast forward to today. We've just discovered that there are alternate, lower-polygon models for every single Pokemon (yes, all 802 of them), including all shinies, all mega forms, all alternate forms (i.e. Ash Hat Pikachu, Ash-Greninja). Alongside this, but each Pokemon also has walking animations, running animations, alongside some in between animations during the transition between running and walking.

Some Pokemon walk on two legs, some Pokemon crawl on four, some Pokemon fly, some Pokemon float, and some Pokemon have a mix. The point is, Game Freak has clearly put a lot of work into this shit, for something that has seemingly gotten completely scrapped.

What will be the result of these models, no one really knows for sure. Will they be in Pokemon Stars? Will they be in Amity Square for the eventual DPPt remakes? Will they never be used because Game Freak are a bunch of lazy fucks? No one really knows for sure.

All we know, is that it's pretty goddamn interesting how all of this seemingly went to waste.
