spend a good 22 hours straight softsetting for a shiny adamant totodile.

I released a shiny Goomy because it was male.

Hatched 3 shiny Tyrouges in XY because the first two had shit attack IVs, and my last one had shit Speed but I stopped caring at that point.

when I was in high school and diamond and pearl were first leaking on serebii, I printed out a picture of probopass and a bunch of other leaked pics from the internet and tried to show everyone in my class the new pokemon. "Look nosepass got an evo" as I handed people flyers with pictures of it as if anyone would actually care.

I kept saying over and over since nosepass was my favorite pokemon at the time. Most of my classmates were annoyed and one of them who was kind of a bully told me to shut the fuck up about my gay pokemon shit. I told the teacher and instead of giving the kid detention he just said "maybe you should stop playing that game and act your own age" really hit me hard how much of a stupid autistic kid I was. This was my freshman year in high school I was only 13 or 14.

I forgot most of them but recently I had the UB theme (not battle) playing in the background and I roleplay as Sun trying to find the said UB in the area and I edited it where in it will cut off to the UB battle theme and pretend I saw a UB and battle it with my plushie 'mon.

I've created countless fakemon in binders, notebooks, and sketchpads. I have word docs and spreadsheets of fakemon complete with names, typings, abilities, and in some cases other info like their dex entries, base stats, etc. I've discussed this shit with my friends ad nauseum, and even created a few different region concepts with gym leaders and maps. I have a spreadsheet that is nothing but moves and abilities, fully statted, that I've either come up with myself or stolen and reworked from sites like Pokemon Factory and the occasional /vp/ thread.

I've been doing this since middle school.

I turned 30 two months ago.

Extended the ice form of movement to other areas of the game and sometimes other games

It's pathetic, really. Only one friend knows I still do it. I even was theorycrafting things today.

I have very deep regrets I did not go into animation or game design, though, which I think is part of where it comes from. I have a fairly normal life outside of it and it only comes in waves. While playing Sun, I had a sudden urge to revisit my old concepts and have been minorly obsessing about them since. I'm a teacher with a house and wife in real life, and she is completely clueless of my shameful autistic behavior. As far as she knows, I'm just a "geek" and have some "odd friends."

I don't pay much attention to nuzlockes or related challenges, which brings me to my autism:

I have never and never will do a nuzlocke, because I can't bring myself to release Pokemon. No, not even random shitmons that I leave in the box or breedjects. Even the idea of releasing a Pokemon upsets me. It feels like I'm betraying them or something, and I imagine them out in the wild wondering why their trainer gave them up.

On the bright side, shoving them all in Bank has helped me rack up a fuckton of BP.

Though in my defense, my friend is also into it. He's more obsessed with his Zelda themed Pathfinder campaign, though. The point he's statted out most major NPCs in the Zelda series and created the whole world, including every obscure race you could think of, from scratch while still including his own touches.

It really is about as edgy and autistic as you can imagine, too. Our current and ever-shifting party consists of:

We also sometimes use Pokemon that we just call "Magical Beasts" and we're currently in the Dark World and fighting steampunk people from another continent who are invading Hyrule. It's... insane.

I tried to build my own battle simulator from the ground up, IN GAME MAKER, because I didn't know Showdown was a thing (Pokemon Essentials wasn't even out at this point either, mind you), and I wanted something with the Battle Frontier's gimmick rules.

...Come to think of it, does Showdown have a way for me to write scripts for my own rulesets?

I bred for a perfect IV Politoed before Drizzle Politoed was even a thing, this was a while after HGSS released. I think the ability I went for was Water Absorb.

I have hundreds upon hundreds of notes for ideas I've come up with for a potential Kanto remake/reboot. Battle facility ideas, rematch teams, character backstory expansions, additions, new wild Pokemon encounter lists, new/expanded/altered location concepts and more.

Despite being a C# programmer professionally and an aspiring indie game dev (programmer and spriter) as a hobby, I've never ever pursued any of these ideas as a fangame or ever made mockups or anything like that. I just keep adding and adding more ideas on top of it. It's bordering on rambling at this point and I've come up with so many changes and additions that it'd basically be a completely different game, but still set in Kanto.

Gen 1 isn't even my favorite region. I'm not sure why I still do it.
