Is there a headcanon explanation as to why Fire resists Fairy? Such as Psychic-type's weaknesses are common fears, Steel beats Fairy because Faeries are weak to iron, etc

Fairy's weaknesses represent destruction of nature and are weak to the earth (Ground). They just didn't make it a defensive weakness because Fire is already strong offensively.
