I remember the story pretty well bc I enjoyed it. I remember Furfrou and Spritzee and Inkay and plenty others. I don't remember any gyms other than there was a fairy gym. I don't remember a lot of the characters. I thought this game was good.

Laverre City and the routes around it is the comfiest area in any game.
Tyrunt is hands down the best fossil.
Xerneas is still my favorite legendary because it's so ridiculously fabulous.
Fairy types happened.
Shauna used to be the best companion but Lillie totally blew her out of the water, but she was memorable. The others not so much.
The character customization was better than SM, albeit not great.
Game Sync was actually useful thanks to the Pokemileage Shop.
Super Training was super convenient.
The Pokeball Boutique was also convenient.
That psychic gym was cool as fuck. The other gyms were pretty great too.
Route 13 wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be.
There were no god damn SOS battles.
The circular path at the middle of Lumiose City was great for eggs.
I love the cute side to side swaggery rollerskate move the avatar does when you go slow.
Team Flare was terrible but the trainers had funny defeat poses.
I miss being able to sit wherever there was a bench.
The caves were beautiful.

They're really awful, but they still have so much stuff that Sun and Moon didn't. It blows my mind that people actually consider Sun and Moon to be the best games in the series.

Nothing wrong with liking Sun/Moon, but they literally have less content than X/Y AND OR/AS. The only things Sun/Moon improve on are the story (something that's incredibly easy), the music, and the graphics (outside of battles).

Allthough X at th very least has better excuses as to why there was poor post game (first 3ds game, GF had to work harder on pokemon models etc) SM doesnt have any excuses, they had more time than usual and a lot less work with models. Not to mention it was supposed to be the annivesary game...

This is why S/M's abysmal end game makes me so mad. It just felt so lazy.

X/Y AND OR/AS had huge cities surrounding the Battle Chateaus, with a bunch of stuff in them, like the Friend Safari and the Move Tutors. Sun/Moon didn't even have that, they just have that last route to the Battle Tree, then the Battle Tree itself.

Then there's the UB missions, which were simple as fuck and was pretty much just "go here and catch the UB(s)", and random Looker lore. OR/AS, on the other hand, had all the rings and stuff, which, honestly, was much more interesting than the UB missions, and it actually took a while to get them all. Not to mention OR/AS had soaring.

I'm not defending XY or OR/AS; in fact, they're my bottom two Pokemon games overall. It's the fact that Sun and Moon are even on the same level as these two games that makes Sun and Moon seem like the fucking worst. They barely fixed anything, and in some cases, made things even worse.

I'm done. I'm not going to bother with Pokemon games anymore unless they're actually up to date with what someone should expect from a modern AAA game.

I remember loving Anistar City. Sometimes I'd just go to look at the giant crystal.

XY is disappointing, though. Used to be one of my favorites but right before Sun and Moon came out I went to replay it as a no Exp Share Nuzlocke and realized 1. barely any new, let alone good, Pokemon, 2. easy because strong Pokemon are commonly available in early routes, and 3. it's so obviously unfinished. And the friends are just so annoying, but to be fair I didn't like Bianca or Cheren either.
