Does the "Battle Royal" game mode run like pure shit

I have the first model piece of shit baby hands version and can say the framerate during these is fucking unplayable

Im more curious about Doubles on the newer versions, do those still lag because they certainly do for my piece of shit

frame rate is subpar, but it somehow runs better than Multis even though its the same number of people and pokemon. Probably because you only see 1 Trainer at a time, instead of 2.
The gamemode isn't all that fun with NPCs since they have mediocre strategic thought and frequently throw the match to make sure another NPC wins and you don't

it's the only time the frame rate is a real problem, I don't see the point in buying another 3DS for one game. The fact the mode sucks ass doesn't give me motivation to buy one either. If anything I dodged a bullet.

N3ds runs it fine. They take out the trainers.

Man, is it really cause I'm using the original 3ds XL? When there are more than 2 pokemon on screen it drops to like 5 fps and since it waits for the entire animation to play out before beginning the next attack I could be waiting 10 seconds or more before it will let my pokemon use the ability. It's absolutely awful. It makes SOS chaining a nightmare for me.

probably what >>30471929 said. Granted the processor on the old 3DS is weaker but it really grinds to a halt during battle royal. It's good enough to barely process double battles, anything higher is murder. There's no way the next Pokemon game could be on 3DS.
