I happened to catch an Adamant one with decent IVs so I'm using it as a temporary member of my Battle Tree team until I feel like hardcore breeding for everything. I like it so far.

I think Jolly LO with Strong Jaws is the better set. You can at least initially fake them out by bluffing Dazzling

Strong Jaw is a much better ability on it. It's an offensive mon, not a defensive one. If you want to block priority, you'll use Misty Surge or whatever.

It can 2HKO the meta after a SD. Needs support from Sticky Web / T-Wave.

When poison types actually exist in the meta because of nihilego being used to kill tapus of healthy meta, psychic coverage isn't a liability at all. Especially since what you lose in STAB you basically gain back in strong jaw.

Really frail, not quite strong enough to do damage, not quite fast enough to sweep. STAB coverage is pretty bad and its coverage moves are pretty limited. Its physical moveset is pretty much just the fang moves, which have a really low BP, forcing you to run Strong Jaw if you want damage.

Also there's like a 1% chance of encountering it in only a small area of the game, so I doubt most people even remember it exists.

Yeah but it's a 20% chance. Most players just aren't going to bother, especially when it's on the GOTTA GO FAST route where you first get Sharpedo. Not to mention there's absolutely nothing special about the route to suggest you'd get it there.

Yes, Bruxish's Psychic Fangs is objectively stronger, but normal Sharpedo is faster than Bruxish even before mega-evolving or speed boost. Besides that, Mega Sharpedo is a lot stronger if you're comparing STABs.
