The idea behind Silver is probably one of the coolest ideas for a rival. The actual attempt at it? Not so much.

He's kinda like Zinnia in that way. A really cool idea that was not done it it's fullest. Least Zinnia's story ends with you riding Mega Fug into space to fight a no-longer-mythical pokemon.

HGSS in general was as fluffy and happy as DPPt and lacks the atmosphere of the originals.
