With the power item buff I actually prefer SOS battles.

Agree on Blissey bases but I doubt they were on purpose though.

Blissey Bases is what happens if you let Japanese players make their own "gyms." The Japs just figured out the best way to exploit the Secret Base feature via the Level Release. It was fucking dank but also quite clear that GF didn't intend for that to happen.

Considering how Hyper Training requires level 100 and there is a limited amount of post-game content to level grind we could certainly use some kind of Blissey Base again. RIP

Horde Battles were awesome for EV training but shitty at everything else. GF was so concerned about making a Horde Battle actually difficult, (since it's 1v5,) that they made the pokemon that occurred in them a solid 15+ levels lower than other pokemon encountered in the area. So even when Team Aqua/Magma throws a Horde battle at you it's a total joke since they're grossly underleveled. Cool idea, poor execution.

I miss hordes. SOS battles are just guessing games mixed with luck

Sun/Moon are easily among the hardest main series Pokemon games, not saying they are hard, no Pokemon game is, but they're harder than most Pokemon games.
And those features were used once the game story was over to get a team ready for multiplayer battles faster and wouldn't make the single player easier.

More than those I miss the PSS and DexNAV. There's still ways to easily EV train pokemon and you can always level up pre-Gen 7 mons in ORAS then transfer to Sun/Moon for hyper training
