Accept the fact that you will lose some battles. Sometimes it's a fluke. RNG is a bitch. But if you're losing constantly, it'll help to figure out why.

That's what I do and fuck shit up in the battle spot with meme teams. Been using an eviolite buneary back in my ORAS days for double battles and it did quite well on any team.


I suggest getting started out by watching Verlisify's guides on youtube. He pretty much as a "how to use" on every mon out there that is viable and have unrecognized potential that could be fun to use. Or use the same cookie cutter boring team that everyone else uses amd maybe win more but what's the point?

Oh please, anons. Stop this. Verlisify is a decent player and yes I'll admit that he does start shit for no reason and causes a lot of drama. But his advice is pretty sound and I started out in the competitive scene by watching his vids and learned a ton.


You cannot deny that his videos are good for beginners who want to learn as much as possible. But I guess you people are biased by your favorite "poketubers" so I could understand your thinking.

That's why you have to study up on what Pokemon you're facing and what they're capable of. You can make educated guesses on what they may be packing if they're half-decent. That way, you can put yourself in their shoes and question what you would do if you were facing what you have out.

Being a little unpredictable yourself can do you favors sometimes. Confusion-fu is one of the most powerful skills you can learn in this game (and I don't mean the Confusion status).
