I liked it for being a sea bird. We need more of those. Wasn't all that viable though. I liked wingull for an early water gun or a second water type instead of the usual flying normal.
I just get bored of certain pokemon around the time they learn stockpile and stockpile accessory moves.

Nope, I've loved Pelipper for a while now. As I get older I find I like the cheerful friendly looking mons a lot more than I used to and he's a good example of that. He's always been very handy in game too, covering Fly and Surf duties and being reasonably bulky. I'm glad he got something nice.

My first competitive team had a Pelipper on it. A Pelipper with Sheer Cold, I paired it in doubles with a No Guard pokemon. I thought No Guard would make all my Sheer Cold work. This is before simulators were popular and I had no experience. I thought I had this awesome gimmick. So I got all my friends to battle me. I did about 6 runs with Pelipper and every battle, he OHKO'd everything. Sheer cold never missed once. I thought I was a genius and went to a large competition with my team.

He missed every time, I was knocked out in the first round within 6 minutes.

Are there ANY gen 1 mons still viable? Last two standing were Gengar and debatably Starmie and Starmie got phased out last gen and Gengar got literally cucked this gen so is there anybody left?
