Is anyone here autistic enough to know what the average damage output of Metronome is in any given generation?
Obviously depends on the opponent pokemon. Do you mean average base power not including type effectiveness and STAB?
What a strange question...
I MUST KNOW
Not that I know even in that case but you could probably calculate it yourself desu.
>>30432726
Yeah, I phrased that wrong.
I meant the average base power.

/vp/ is pretty autistic but for some reason I don't see anyone having done that
It's possible someone on serebii or bulbapedia has this information in a spreadsheet so they would be able to calculate it more easily. Might be better to ask around there if you want the calculation done efficiently.

>not including type effectiveness
Well that will also have an average if you wanted to go that far.
>>30433380
Indeed. It would be best done by writing a program, I think, but there would be a lot of manual inputting.
>>30433574
could just copy/paste a list of possible moves & their attack powers into excel or whatever, easy enough to average it after that
>>30433574
I think it would be easiest to just do it from a raw list of moves from the cart and then subtract the handful that are not allowed by Metronome.
>>30433619
If you wanted to include type effectiveness then you'd need to multiply base powers by numbers based on their type, so it there would be at least a small amount of programming, even in excel.
The lists of unavailable moves seem to be a bit shoddy for gens VI and VII, so that might take some work as well.
>>30433869
Not to mention that a lot of moves have their BP changed between gens.
>>30432694
super low probably, considering all the 0 damage status moves it can call
>>30432694
I did some simple calculations in excell, and got an average power of 40.73 and an average accuracy of 75%
>>30435194
neat
>>30435194
This doesn't take into account multi-hit moves though, does it?
